Habitat Global Village house Building

Chaquijya, Guatemala – 2019. The house we were working on was for Don Rigoberto, his wife Demaris and their three daughters Emily, Elizabeth and Catalaya. The house was right beside the Pan American Highway near a small town called Chaquijya. Our work consisted of digging out some of the foundation trenches, preparing the rebar for the footings and columns. Mixing and pouring the concrete for the footing and backfilling the foundation trenches. When our week was finished there was still a lot of work to be done on the foundation so lots of work before the house is finished.
